Perri Melnick, Chief Legal Counsel
With more than 15 years of experience, Perri’s law practice has focused on advising health systems, medical groups and other health care providers on a broad range of business, transactional, general corporate, licensing and regulatory matters. Her experience includes business formation and structuring, negotiating and drafting mergers and acquisition documents, professional service and consulting agreements, employment and independent contractor agreements, health plan agreements, vendor agreements and policies and procedures. In addition, she has experience advising health care clients on regulatory, licensing and compliance issues, and day to day business and operational issues.
A Boston native, Perri received her B.A. degree in Communications, cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she was the Student Commencement Speaker of her graduating class. She received her J.D. from the Loyola Law School in 2003, attending in the evening while working full time as a Health and Welfare Benefit Consultant.
After obtaining her law degree, Perri spent the first part of her career practicing law as part of premier health care practices at Hooper Lundy & Bookman, McDermott Will & Emery and Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, where she represented health care clients on a broad range of litigation, transactional and regulatory matters. In 2007, she went to work for IPC HealthCare (formerly IPC The Hospitalist Company) where she spent six years as the Vice President of Legal Affairs overseeing all legal functions of the company including negotiating and closing more than 90 physician practice acquisitions. Thereafter, Perri went to work for DaVita HealthCare Partners as Group General Counsel overseeing west coast operations.
She returned to private practice in 2016 as part of the health care and corporate departments at Crowell & Moring, LLP before starting her own practice in October 2018.
